it near the frame rails. That will keep it from getting damaged by road debris, unfriendly driveways, speed bumps, and heat from the exhaust. I don't think that the heatwrap is enough. It's just too much of a possible fire danger. If you have to run new cable, I would suggest it. You have spent so much money to get your Z to where it is now, it would be a shame to scrimp on the battery cable. Also, if you were in a show and someone looked under the car, that would not come across as a professional installation. If you don't want to do it yourself, take it to a competent audio shop or repair shop. Do it right Mike so you don't regret it later. Other than that, it's an awesome ride.
